In parallel with the advancement of technology, there are positive developments in the field of health. Thus, better living conditions can be provided. People in Turkey have the chance to live longer today. This situation reveals the necessity of Gerontology, which is a science that aims to deal with the aging process and aging problems. It is undeniable that gerontologists are needed to recognize the social, psychological, economic, cultural and medical needs of the individuals who make up the elderly population and to find solutions to their problems. We aim to train gerontologists who can serve as members of a multidisciplinary team that adopts ethical principles and values and a scientific approach, while serving individuals who encounter problems in healthy aging and the aging process.
