Parallel to the advancement of technology, positive developments are also taking place in the field of health. Thus, better living conditions can be provided. People in Turkey have the chance to live longer today. This situation reveals the necessity of Gerontology, a science that aims to deal with the aging process and aging problems. It is undeniable that gerontologists are needed to identify the social, psychological, economic, cultural and medical needs of individuals who constitute the elderly population and to find solutions to their problems. While providing services to individuals who encounter problems in the healthy aging and aging process, we aim to train gerontologists who can serve as members of a multidisciplinary team that adopts ethical principles and values and a scientific approach.
